Day 1: Aswan Sightseeing & Setting Sail
Your journey begins in Aswan with a tour of the city’s finest monuments. Visit the Aswan High Dam and take a motorboat to the beautiful island Temple of Philae. By midday, transfer to your Dahabiya, enjoy a welcoming lunch, and begin your serene sailing journey northward. Dock for the evening near a quiet Nile island and enjoy your first dinner on the water.
Day 2: Kom Ombo & Gebel el-Silsila
After a fresh breakfast, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, an unusual symmetrical temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek and Horus the Elder. Reboard the Dahabiya and sail to the narrow gorge of Gebel el-Silsila. Explore the ancient sandstone quarries and rock-cut chapels where the stones for Egypt’s grandest temples were carved. Continue sailing and dock for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 3: Edfu Temple & Esna
Wake up to the sounds of the river and sail toward Edfu. Upon arrival, ride a traditional horse carriage to the magnificent Temple of Horus, renowned as the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt. Return to the boat for lunch and enjoy an afternoon of pure relaxation on the sun deck as you sail toward the Esna Lock. Enjoy a farewell dinner onboard.
Day 4: Luxor West & East Banks - Disembarkation
After your final breakfast on the Dahabiya, disembark in Luxor for a full day of exploration. Cross to the West Bank to uncover the pharaonic tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the striking Temple of Hatshepsut, and the imposing Colossi of Memnon.
